PURPOSE:To facilitate a change in fare, by providing a data memory wherein fare data are stored by blocks of railroad track, and updating the fare data of a changed line and supplying the new fare data on an automatic ticket machine. CONSTITUTION:The control part 10 of the automatic ticket machine is provided with a microprocessor 11, which controls a passenger operation part 1, staff operation part 4, coin handling part 8, and printing mechanism part 9. To the processor 11, a program memory 13, basic fare setting data part 14, and the fare data memory 15 wherein fare data are stored by blocks of railroad track are connected. Then, a program for changing fares is stored in the memory 13 and in case of a change in fare, data in a fare change table is transferred to the processor 11 through a transmission control circuit 17 under the control of a central controller 16 or in another way, the data in a fare change data memory 18 stored with said data is supplied to the processor 11 through an I/O interface 19 to facilitate the change in fare. |
