PURPOSE:To improve the precision and quality of bar-code symbols by setting the load time rate of a driving current according to the bar length of the bar- code symbols to be recorded. CONSTITUTION:In a block selecting circuit 4, a block selection signal is applied to necessary terminals B1-Bn and while necessary transistor (TRs) TRB1- TRBn turn on to perform recording, DC electric power for heat generation is supplied from a DC power source E. An element selecting circuit obtains the product of an element selection signal applied to necessary terminals E1-E3 and a pulsating signal varying in load time rate generated by a load time rate setting circuit 6 to turn on-off necessary TRs TRE1-TRE3, so that thermal elements selected through the conduction of the TRB1-TRBn and TRE1-TREn heat up. In this case, the circuit 6 sets the load time rate according to the bar length of bar-code symbols. |
