PURPOSE:To make it hard to cause offset phenomenon, by using a specified kind of resin suitable to a binder of an insulating toner. CONSTITUTION:A copy image is formed by attaching an insulating toner to an electrostatic latent image on a substrate, transferring the toner image onto an intermediate transfer material, again transferring the intermediate toner image onto a final transfer material, and fixing it. The binder resin used for said toner contains as a main constituent a polymer or copolymer of an alpha,beta-unsatd. ethylenic monomer, such as styrene, o-methyl styrene, or p-methylstyrene, and said polymer has 2,000-50,000 number average mol.wt. and 10,000-300,000 weight average mol.wt., and a thermoplastic resin and a thermosetting resin may both be used, but the former is preferable. |
