A procedure for photometric measurement of liquids in a reaction vessel in an automatic analyser with a radiation flow perpendicular to a row of reaction vessels is characterized in that the radiation flow and the reaction vessel (1) are in movement relative to each other during the measurement. The distance between the reaction vessels is measured and the radiation flow is measured over the effective length of each vessel. By calculating the mean of the radiant flux over accepted parts of the signal, error of measurement introduced by a dirt particle or by a scratch is eliminated. A row of reaction vessels employed in the procedure, as each reaction vessel is continuous to the next, separated by a wall and the bottom of each reaction vessel (1) consists of a lens (8) focussing luminescent radiation which can be measured simultaneously with the photometric measurement. The row of vessels has an engagement member 3 with a bevel 5 engaging an engagement member 6. Alternatively magnetic engagement may be used. <IMAGE> |
