PURPOSE:To ensure the detection of the position of an object body or an object part having a special shape, by detecting a cross shaped light beam irradiated on a plane, on which the object body is mounted as a reference plane, or on the surface in the vicinity of the object part. CONSTITUTION:The circular cylinder shaped object body 15 is mounted on the plane 14, and the cross shaped light beam 15 is irradiated on the object body 15 from the direction approximately directly upward. The light from a lamp 1 becomes the cross shaped light beam through a condenser lens 2, a cross slit 3, and a light projecting lens 4, and irradiated on the upper surface of the object body 15 and the plane 14. In this case, it is sufficient that the intersection of the cross shaped light beam is located at the arbitrary position of the upper surface of the object body 15. The intersection is not necessarily required to be located at the central position of said surface. The position of the object body 15 can be detected based on the irradiated state of the cross shaped light beam on the plane 14 as reference plane and the object body 15. |
