PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion of a positive ring and voltage deterioration of a cell by changing a material of the positive ring. CONSTITUTION:A positive mix 2 placed in the inner bottom of a cylindrical metal case 1 consists of a pellet obtained by molding a mixture of silver oxide powder and graphite powder. An electrolyte absorber 4 placed on a separator 3 is impregnated with an electrolyte. A negative mass 5 placed on the absorber 4 comprises of a mixed powder of amalgamated zinc and a thickening agent. A ring-shape insulating sealing gasket 6 having L-shape cross section consists of a synthetic rubber having excellent elastisity and softness or a synthetic resin having excellent aging resistance and mechanical strength. An opposite plate- shape single metal plate which closes the opening of a case 1 with the insulating gasket 6 placed in between has a U-shape reversed curl portion 7b connecting to a projecting part 7a in its circumference. A stainless steel ring containing 21wt% or more chromium and 11wt% or more nickel is used to increase the strength of the positive mix 2. |
