PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of a panel display unit when it is manufactured by providing a control electrode terminal section with a flexible structure. CONSTITUTION:The captioned control electrode consists of control electrodes 1a to 1g, a control electrode terminal 2a taken out outside a glass container 3, a control electrode terminal 2b inside a glass container bent by means of the molding by pressing, a cathode 4, and a low fused glass joint 5. In the said structure, when the glass container is vacuum-exhausted and heat-treated, it is deformed, but since the said bent control electrode terminal 2b has a spring structure and the capability of expansion and contraction absorbs the deformation error of the glass container 3 and then prevents the cracking of the glass container 3, the destruction of a panel display unit can be prevented when it is manufactured. |
