PURPOSE:To form bearings to small capacity and obtain large reduction ratio, by supporting a king pin to a bevel gear case through the cantilever method. CONSTITUTION:Torque from a differential gear output shaft 9 is transmitted to a king pin 17 through a bevel gear mechanism 20 and torque from the pin 17 is transmitted to a front wheel through a bevel gear mechanism 26, here thrust forces are applied to the pin 17 in the opposite directions as shown by arrow heads AB in the drawing in the mechanism 20, and limiters 27, 28 can fully correspond to the thrust force even if bearings 18, 19 supporting the pin 17 are formed to small capacity. Further the lowermost end of the pin 17 is not required to be supported to a front wheel case 24, and a bevel gear 25 can be formed to a large diameter to obtain large reduction ratio. |
