PURPOSE:To suppress the jump of the output voltage of a chopper controller by suitably selecting the chopper period at the chopper control starting time and increasing the current flowing period in response to the current flow rate pattern, thereby continuously controlling the current flow rate. CONSTITUTION:A chopper controller has a current flow rate instruction unit 7, a simultaneous switch control detector 8, a simultaneous switch time chopper period instruction unit 9, a simultaneous switch time flow rate period instruction unit 10, a current flow period continuous controller 11, a chopper period pattern generator 12, a current flow period pattern generator 13 and a gate controller 14. The chopper period is selected to several times of the chopper period at the ordinarily operating time when the chopper starts controlling, and the current flowing period is increased in response to the current flow rate pattern. When the current flowing period reaches the prescribed value, the current flowing period and the chopper period are simultaneously shortened stepwisely at the same rate, thereby increasing again the current flowing period in response to the current flow rate pattern. These controls are repeated several times. |
