PURPOSE:To cultivate anaerobic bacteria extremely easily without requiring a catalyst, specific tools and device, by using a packed body for absorbing oxygen and evolving carbon dioxide gas and a packed body of a disoxidant compositin. CONSTITUTION:A medium into which anaerobic bacteria are inoculated, (A) a packed body obtained by sealing hermetically and packing a composition comprising a carbonate or a bicarbonate and a solid acid as active ingredients, absorbing oxygen and evolving carbon dioxide gas, into a permeable packing material, and (B) a packed material obtained by sealing hermetically and packing a disoxidant not evolving carbon dioxide gas substantially and absorbing oxygen are sealed hermetically in a substantially impermeable packing material or a hermetic container, an oxygen concentration in a hermetically sealed system is made<=1wt% within 10hr, the packed bodies A and B are adjusted and combined in such a way that a carbon dioxide gas concentration in the system is made<= 1% within 10hr, the oxygen concentration in the system is made <=1wt% within 10hr after sealing, and cultivation is carried out while keeping <=1wt% oxygen concentration and 5-30% carbon dioxide gas concentration. |
