An arrangement at a vessel for heating of liquid by an electrical heating element introduced through the vessel wall. The heating element is a plate heating element surrounding a plate 12, which consists of a shell 13 of insulating material and a resistance element 14 enclosed in it, and an extension flange 15 joined to the plate at one end. The envelope wall 11 of the vessel has a slot formed to insert the plate 12 inside the vessel, which is lined with a rubber packing 18, which seals off against the extension flange 15 of the heating element when it is secured to the vessel wall 11. The flange also extends a distance into the vessel to form a flexible mouth, which is able to close liquid-tight after the plate heating element is withdrawn. <IMAGE> |
