PURPOSE:To attach a helical spring to a fitting member while compressing the spring to store an elastic force, by providing a helical coil with a straight wire portion at one end and bending the straight portion back toward the other end so that the straight portion extends through the coil. CONSTITUTION:In a helical spring 10, a coil 11 made by helically winding a wire is provided with a support bar 12 at one end. The support bar 12 extends through the coil 11. The coil 11 is provided with an auxiliary support bar 16 at the other end. To attach the helical spring 10 to a fitting wall, the support bar 12 is inserted through the fitting hole 14 of the fitting wall 13, the end face of the coil 11 is placed on the wall, and a fitting ring 15 is mounted on the tip of the protruded support bar 12 on the wall 13 while the coil 11 is compressed. |
