PURPOSE:To prevent damage to a motor for adjusting a damping force and keep a drive noise from going outside, by placing the motor in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A piston assembly, which comprises a means for causing a damping force and an adjuster 9 for changing the damping force, is provided in a cylinder 1 so that the piston assembly can move in the axial direction of the cylinder. The adjuster 9 is operated by a motor 4 which is driven by that output of a control circuit which is based on an external angle setting signal. The motor 4 is placed in the cylinder 1. |
