<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled ink having good stability and excellent characteristics, capable of hot-melting and cold-setting for carbonless copying paper, by employing a melamine-formalin resin heat-treated in water at elevated temps. as a membrane material of microcapsule. CONSTITUTION:A hydrophobic substance comprising an arom. oil (e.g., diarylethanes) in which 8% or more dye (e.g., crystal violet lactone) is dissolved, is emulsified into an aq. soln. of ''Scripset '' (e.g., styrene/maleic anhydride copolymer). An aq. soln. of melamine and formalin is then added to the above emulsion and the mixture is heated at a high temp. above 80 deg.C in the presence of an alkali catalyst to yield a microcapsule comprising a melamine-formalin resin contg. a hydrophobic substance. Then a capsule powder obtained by drying the resulting microcapsule dispersion is dispersed in wax.</p> |
