PURPOSE:To prevent the erroneous or wrong insertion of an adapter into a device for large cassette, by providing a mechanism which does not permit the adapter to be inserted into the device unless subloading is completed in the adapter. CONSTITUTION:When a small cassette is set into the adapter, tape leading-out guide parts 3a and 4a of levers 3 and 4 are placed in tape leading-out aperture parts 11a and 11b on the inside of a tape path 9 formed in the small cassette, and the small cassette is detained in a prescribed position in the adapter by a cassette holding member which is not shown in figure. At this time, an opening and closing member 5 is charged in the direction of an arrow B, where an insertion guide groove 13 of the adapter 1 is closed, by a spring 6 and is stopped by a stopper 7. Consequently, the adapter cannot be inserted to a cassette holder of the large cassette device in this state. The lever 3 is brought into contact with the opening and closing member 5 in course of turning just before subloading completion, and the opening and closing member 5 is turned in the direction opposite to the direction of the arrow B to open the insertion guide groove 13. |
