PURPOSE:To enhance the manufacturing efficiency of electrodes by manufacturing them according to a conveyor system by treating a beltlike synthetic-resin sheet by means of a push-type shaping device, a superfluous-belt cutting device, a lead-alloy applying device, an active-material packing device, a disengaging device and so forth. CONSTITUTION:After a belt-like sheet is obtained with a synthetic-resin injector (A), the sheet is shaped with a push-type shaping device (B) having a roll 2 provided with grid-like grooves. Next, superfluous belt-like parts located at both sides of the grid belt are cut with a cutting device (C). Following that, after the grid belt is vertically held between the rolls 5 and 6, a lead alloy film is attached to one end of the grid belt by means of a lead-alloy applying device (D). Then, after the grid belt is inverted, a lead alloy film is attached to the other end of the grid belt by means of a lead-alloy applying device (D'). After that, an active material is packed into the grid belt by means of an active-material packing device (E), and the grid belt coated with the active material is sent through a dryer (F) and a cutter (G), thereby making an electrode. By the means mentioned above, manufacturing of electrodes can be performed according to a complete conveyor system, and automated. Consequently, the manufacturing efficiency of electrodes can be greatly enhanced. |
