PURPOSE:To obtain an easy-to-read multifunctional electronic timepiece which has large display per unit area, by displaying the function name of the 2nd function display mode during the transition from the 1st to the 2nd function display mode. CONSTITUTION:The oscillation signal of an oscillating circuit 1 is passed through a frequency dividing circuit 2 to obtain a 1Hz frequency-divided signal, which is supplied to a clocking circuit 4 through a switching circuit 3 for time correction. A clocking signal TK is supplied to a function switching circuit 5. To the other input terminal of the circuit 5, the output of an alarm function circuit 14 is connected. The circuit 14 is selected by the control signal of a switch circuit 10 for function selection and its output is supplied to a decoder switching circuit 7 through a decoder 6. To the other input terminal of the circuit 7, the signal of a character storage circuit 22 for displaying function names is supplied and selected by the control signal from a decoder switching control circuit 19. Thus, an alarm function name display mode is interposed between a time function display mode and an alarm time display mode to display the name on a dot matrix display 9. |
