PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of input operation for a stepping type input device developed for a person having a trouble in the hand, by varying the moving speed of a cursor with a foot operation of keys. CONSTITUTION:An operator shifts a cursor too the line to which a desired character code belongs by means of an intermediate pedal C. Then a right pedal R is trod strong to shift the cursor to the right at a high speed, and the treading pressure is weakened when the cursor gets near the desired character code to slow down the shift of the cursor. When the cursor reaches a proper position, the foot is detached from the pedal to stop the movement of the cursor. Then the pedal R is trod light again to the shift characters one by one, and the cursor is set under a desired character. Under such conditions, an input key 5 is trod by the left foot to feed the data on the desired character code. If the cursor passes beyond the desired place, a left pedal L is trod to set back the cursor to the left. Thus the cursor is set accurately under the desired character. |
