PURPOSE:To enable cleansing of a gas turbine casing, by a method wherein the aqueous solution of a chemical compound gasified at lower than a given temperature is jetted into a working gas pipe installed at the inlet of a gas turbine driven by combustion gas. CONSTITUTION:The aqueous solution in a chemical liquid tank 7, gasified at a temperature lower than about 400 deg.C, is jetted into a gas turbine 4 through a spray nozzle 6. The sprayed aqueous solution percolates through a scale once. Water impregnated through the scale as a result of rise in an exhaust temperature due to the increase in an engine load is evaporated, and only salts are left. A first chemical reaction occurs to the salts as a result of a boiling, a fusion starts at about 100-150 deg.C to bring it into liquid, and a boiling occurs again to cause a second chemical reaction. If temperature rises to higher than about 200-250 deg.C, it is gasified, and if rising to higher than about 300 deg.C, it is violently gasified. Finally, all the salts are gasified, and a pressure of gas produced at the inside of the porous scale peels and removes a scale from a metal surface. |
