发明名称 PRODUCTION METHOD OF ELECTRODE FOR FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce an electrode for a fuel cell which can obtain a large current at a low cost by heating a carbonyl compound of W or Mo and by coating a carbon family substrate with WC or MoC. CONSTITUTION:A porous molding 1 made of glassy carbon is suspended with a fine nichrome wire in a reaction tube 2 made of quartz, and the molding 1 is heated at a proper temperature in an infrared image furnace 3 while the tube 2 is exhausted with a vacuum pump. Cooling N2 gas is made to flow through an external cylinder 7 to keep the wall temperature of the tube 2 low. On the other hand, the powder 4 of W(CO)6 or Mo(CO)6 or both is heated in a worm bath 5 so as to evaporate the powder 4 and also to introduce CO gas into tube 2 by the operation of a valve 8. Next, the temperature of the molding 1 is further increased so that WC or MoC or composite carbide of both is spread on the surface of the molding 1. Then, a lead wire is fitted to it to form an electrode.
