摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To generate energy with high value added by constructing the arch or side wall of a cooling vessel with bricks for heat exchange having a special structure to recover potential heat of a cooling gas blown into the upper space of the cooling vessel. CONSTITUTION:A refractory brick 1 for heat exchange is composed of a recessed body 2 and a heat exchange part 3 consisting of gas-permeable refractory granules bonded together in the recess. The brick 1 has 4 upper grooves 4 on the upper surface of the body 2, 4 under grooves 5 on the under surface in the recess opposite to the upper surface, and 4 side grooves 6 on each of 2 sides adjacent to the upper and under surfaces, and all of the grooves are continuous. The arch and/or side wall of a cooling vessel is constructed using such bricks 1 with the heat exchange parts 3 inward. A heated gas in the upper space of the vessel is fed to a heat exchanger 15 through the parts 3, the grooves 5, 6, 4, a groove 13 perpendicular to the grooves 4 in a heat insulating brick layer 10 on the bricks 1, and concentrating pipes 12. In the heat exchanger 15, heat of the gas is recovered.</p>
