PURPOSE:To perform accurate and stable measurement by using a beltlike body of a high polymer film having metallic coatings on external surfaces to make a suspension band for a balance. CONSTITUTION:The suspension band 1 holds a sample holder receiver 4 invariably vertical without reference to the inclination of a main beam 2 and a shielding plate 8 cuts off some of light beams incident from lamps 91 and 92 to photoelectric elements 101 and 102; while the main beam 2 is held nearly horizontal, the outputs of the photoelectric elements 101 and 102 are balanced and then the output of a differential amplifier 11 is ceased. Namely, an adequate current flows through an electromagnetic coil 15 at this time to apply a magnetic body 5 with a force for holding the main beam 2 horizontal and in this state, measurement is started; when a sample in the holder is heated by an electric furnace 7 and the weight of the sample varies, the main beam 2 slants and the outputs of the photoelectric elements 101 and 102 lose the balance to increase or decrease the current of the coil 15, compensating the unbalance of the balance. |
