PURPOSE:To perform the steel reproduction and the slow motion reproduction with picture quality of high clearness, by using the reproducing heads equivalent to the number of picture frames which are recorded with a revolution. CONSTITUTION:The pictures of two frames are recorded on a video recording disk with each revolution. In this case, reproducing heads A and B are set on the recording disk at 180 deg. relative positions. The pictures on a semicircular track 2 is reproduced first by the head A when the disk turns clockwise and then reproduced by the head B when the disk has a half turn. Therefore these heads A and B are switched to each other with every half turn of the disk to reproduce consecutively only the picture signals on the track 2. Thus static pictures are obtained with high contrast. In the case of the slow motion reproduction, a high clearness picture can be obtained by controlling the switch between heads A and B and the driving of the heads A and B toward the center of a circle. |
