PURPOSE:To prevent a film from being exposed to the light leaked from a light emitting part when the operation of an operating member of a camera is detected by a photoelectric switch, by providing light shielding members which not only support the light emitting part and a light receiving part but also cover these parts and the operating member. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element C and a photodetector D are fixed to respective outside faces of a pair of dish-shaped light shielding members A and B, and an operating member E is attached to a shaft F inserted through centers of light shielding members A and B. The light from the light emitting element C reaches the photodetector C or is intercepted in accordance with the operation of the operating member E and is not leaked to the external. When a release button 1 is depressed, for example, from the camera external, a release plate 2 is turned right, and a half-depression switch 3 is closed by a pin 2b, and the light emitting element C is lit. When the release button 1 is depressed furthermore, the operating member E intercepts the optical path between the light emitting element C and the photodetector D, and power is supplied to a release magnet. |
