For the automatic adjustment of the pumping capacity of the heating circuit to its desired conditions, the temperature spread between the heating forward-run temperature and the heating return-run temperature is, according to the invention, regulated depending upon the heating forward-run temperature, the delivery capacity of the pump being used as manipulated variable for this regulation.
