The linear asynchronous electric motor according to the invention contains an inductor having an m-phase winding and a secondary part (2) which is electromagnetically coupled to the inductor and is designed as a magnetic conductor having transverse slots in which an m-phase insulated winding (4) is located. According to the invention, the winding (4) is spread into electrically independent winding units (5), at least one capacitor (6) being connected in each phase of the winding units (5).
