Vehicle seats are subjected to the effects of the carriageway, which is perceptible in the form of jolts and vibrations. The invention relates to a bracket which serves to provide suspension for the vehicle seat as a whole and thus contributes to improved seating comfort. The bracket is composed of a floor frame (1), a lower vibration frame (carrying arm) (2) and of an upper vibration frame (carrying arm) (3) which are both connected centrally to the left and right by means of in each case one clip (5) for the purpose of synchronous movement. The vibration frames are mounted in a rotatable fashion. The bearings (12) for the seat carrier (13), preferably composed of a right and left rail into which the seat is inserted by means of sliding rails which are mounted thereon for the purpose of attachment are located on the free vibrating ends of the vibration frame. A short rocker (7) serves to provide suspension. The latter is preferably a frame-like construction and mounted in a rotatable fashion and spring-mounted by means of pre-tensionable springs (11). In each case one right-hand and one left-hand clip (8), attached rotatably between the short rocker and lower vibration frame, transmits the spring effect onto the entire system. <IMAGE>
