The invention relates to a two-wheeled bicycle trailer which has a loading area mounted in a frame and can be attached to a bicycle by means of a tow bar. The bicycle trailer (1) is composed of a frame (2) which is formed by two frame halves (5) which can be folded about a joint (3). A swivellable tow bar (6) is coupled to the frame (2). A floor plate (7) and a contact plate (8) are swivellably arranged in the frame (2). In order to achieve a sufficient degree of rigidity of the frame (2) when travelling, the floor plate (7) and the contact plate (8) can be releasably locked to the frame (2). The tow bar (6) can be locked in various positions so that it can fulfil different functions. <IMAGE>
