Metering system, especially for artificial kidneys

The metering system is suitable for an artificial kidney and comprises a mixing tank, a storage vessel, a concentrate source, a source for a diluent, a permanently working pump, conduits, a manometric switch allocated to the metering tank and responding to a predetermined pressure in the metering tank, as well as a flow switch allocated directly to the storage vessel and responding to a predetermined flow, multi-way valves in the conduits between the pump, the metering tank and the storage vessel which can be actuated by the manometric switch and conduct the liquid from the metering tank into the storage vessel. When the multi-way valves have shut off the metering tank from the concentrate and the diluent they are kept in this locked position by the flow switch for as long as mixed concentrate flows out of the metering container. When the outflow is complete, the flow switch switches the valves back into their initial position, so that diluent and concentrate reach the metering tank once again.
