A toy vehicle possesses, below the chassis, a pin (4) which acts on a commutator, and a pin (5) which acts on an on/off switch. Switching is actuated from the track, where an attachment (29) is raised and lowered or an attachment (32) is displaced. The attachment (32) displaces the pin (4) so that a commutation operation takes place and displaces the vehicle away from the fixed attachment (31), so that the pin (6) moves into a central position and the vehicle can proceed backwards. <IMAGE>
