PURPOSE:To detect which knocking sensor is abnormal of the plural knocking sensors, by supplying a false signal of knocking to the knocking sensors at idling time of an engine. CONSTITUTION:Different knocking control is operated to each knocking sensor while a false signal of knocking is supplied to the knocking sensors at idling time of an engine to detect ignition timing if delayed or not. As the method of differently performing the knocking control for each knocking sensor, a method of changing a delay amount of the ignition timing or method of changing a delay holding time of the ignition timing is provided. In this way, which of the plural knocking sensors is abnormal can be detected. |
