<p>An energy-absorbing laminate which may be incorporated in a ski, comprises a relatively stiff layer (1) and an elastomeric layer (2). The elastomeric layer consists of a grid of two series of elastomeric strips (4, 5), each strip in this grid structure being reinforced with bundles of fibres or filaments (3). Strips in the same series are substantially parallel to each other whereas strips of different series intersect at an angle alpha of between 10 DEG and 120 DEG and are bonded to one another at their points of intersection. <IMAGE></p> |
