PURPOSE:To obtain a dog food having high palatability and containing essential oil of garlic, by including the essential oil of garlic in cyclodextrin, and adding an animal additive to the clathrate compound. CONSTITUTION:Liquid dextrin is mixed with tap water, the pH of the mixture is properly adjusted with citric acid, and the essential oil of garlic is added to the mixture and stirred to effect the inclusion. The product is mixed with the liver of pig. For the preparation of tablet, the pig's liver is dried and pulverized beforehand, mixed with the above clathrate compound and tabletted. The volatile raw essential oil of garlic is included in inexpensive liquid cyclodextrin and masked with the economically available animal guts to obtain a dog food having high palatability. |
