PURPOSE:To enhance sealing performance at the joint between flange and intake pipe by installing ribs at the flange part of a heater casing or the bottom plate and thereby strengthening the stiffness. CONSTITUTION:Gasket 5 is equipped with a circular rubber seal 5a on each side. Heater casing 7a is provided with a heater mounting screw hole 9 at the flange part while the bottom plate 7b, with the same 9 at a place mating with the bottom of casing 7a. This bottom plate 7b is furnished with ribs 8a, 8b concentrically with a rubber seal 5a in the same configuration and projecting down in the perpendicular direction at the center of the rubber seal 5a radially, and another rib 10 is formed perpendicularly to the flange surface down from the outside circumference. The central area of each mounting screw hole 9 is supported by this outside circumferential rib 10 while the rubber seal by the reinforcement ribs 8a, 8b to ensure sufficient surface pressure. Thus a uniform and close contact is obtained in the whole flange part. |
