PURPOSE:To obtain a feed having high digestibility and absorbability, and resistant to disintegration and denaturation with saline water, by adding a nutrient to an aqueous solution of sodium alginate, emulsifying the mixtue, and spraying the emulsion through small nozzles and contacting with an aqueous solution of a metallic salt to effect the hardening of the emulsion. CONSTITUTION:Small amounts of water-soluble proteins, minerals and various vitamins are added to a solution of sodium alginate, and liquid fish oil is added dropwise to the mixture under vigorous agitation to obtain an emulsion. A solution of calcium chloride is flowed down continuously from a hopper in the form of a curtain fall, and the above prepared emulsion is sprayed through the nozzles of a spray gun toward the curtain with high pressure. The sprayed liquid is divided into small droplets, brought into contact with the calcium chloride solution, and hardened and dropped. The droplets are collected, heated with hot calcium chloride solution to effect the secondary curing, and washed with water. the particle diameter is decreased by the process. The obtained particles are classified with a sieve to obtain the feed for fry. |
