PURPOSE:To reduce the fatigue of an electrophotographic receptor using amorphous silicon (a-Si) covered with a surface blocking layer by providing a specified distribution to the density of an impurity in the blocking layer. CONSTITUTION:The 1st blocking layer 21 such as a layer of stabilized a-Si contg. oxygen as an impurity, a photosensitive layer 3 of stabilized a-Si and the 2nd blocking layer 22 are laminated on a substrate 1 such as an Al drum to manufacture an electrophotographic receptor. Only one of the blocking layers may be laminated. At this time, the impurity (oxygen) for capturing a carrier in the blocking layer is distributed so as to reduce the density toward the interface between the blocking layer and the layer 3. |
