PURPOSE:To obtain accurate values by sticking strain gage to a dummy material only at the broad part thereof, measuring the heat outputs at high temp., sticking only the base part of the gage to an object body, substracting the heat outputs measured therewith from the outputs obtained at high temp. CONSTITUTION:A strain gage 1 is first spot-welded to a dummy material 4 consisting of the same material as the material of an object 3 at the broad part 1 thereof, and the material is heated up to a prescribed temp., then the heat outputs of the gage are measured. The gage 1 is then cut at the notched part 1b at the base thereof and is spot-welded to the prescribed position of the object 3 in the part of the bases 1, whereby the outputs of the strain gage are obtained. The previous heat outputs are subtracted from said outputs, whereby the thermal stress generated in the object is determined. |
