PURPOSE:To heighten the accuracy of cutting work and enable the manufacturing of a reflecting mirror from a flat metal plate, by providing a suction opening in a rest for holding the flat metal plate to be processed into the reflecting mirror, so that the plate is held on the rest by suction. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate is placed on the surface 10a of a rest 10. The flat plate is sucked through an annular suction hole 10d provided almost in the center of the surface 10a. At the same time, an edge of the flat plate is positioned on a cutting part 10b and the plate is held by clamping members 12, 14. |
