PURPOSE:To prevent collision of an upper projection formed at the top of a mechanical section of a compressor against its retainer at the time of stopping the compressor, by supporting support legs of the compressor by vibration-damping members, and making the coefficient of elasticity of the damping members, located on the side of a suction pipe smaller than that of the damping members located on the side of a discharge pipe. CONSTITUTION:The lower portion of a mechanical section 2 of a compressor is supported by coil springs 3 while the upper protion of the mechanical section 2 is supported by a coil spring 4, so that the mechanical section 2 is supported in an outer shell in a vibration damping manner, Further, support legs 7 of the outer shell 1 are supported on a base plate 10 by means of coil springs 8, 9. Here, the spring constant of the coil springs 8 located on the side of a suction pipe 11 is selected to be smaller than that of the coil spring 9 located on the side of a discharged pipe 12. Therefore, when the compressor is stopped, the mechanical section 2 and the outer shell 1 tend to turn and the center of rotation also tends to displace toward the suction pipe 11 because the diameter of the suction pipe 11 is greater than that of the discharge pipe 12. However, since the spring constant of the coil springs 8 is small, the restricting force by the suction pipe 11 is moderated, so that collision of a projection 5 against its retainer 6 can be prevented. |
