Prepn. of salts of 1-aryloxy-3-isopropylamino-2-propanol of formula (I) is claimed where R is H or methyl, n is 1 or 2, X is one of various acid radicals and A can be different types of radicals. Process comprises neutralising the parent cpds. with acid e.g. hydrochloric, tartaric, fumaric, etc. Process is suitably effected at ca. 50 degrees C, in nonbasic polar solvents.
