摘要 PURPOSE:To distinguish printed characters and defects from each other even when characters, symbols, etc. are printed on a medicine capsule, by combining a monostable multivibrator, a square wave oscillator, a logic circuit, etc. to constitute a discriminating circuit. CONSTITUTION:While a capsule 40 is carried by a carrying drum 16, the capsule 40 is rotated in a high speed by a rotating roller 48 and is scanned spirally by a lamp 58, lenses 60 and 62, and an optical sensor 64. An input signal C including a print signal and a defect signal drives a monostable multivibrator 110, and an FF 113 is reset by a differentiating circuit 111 and is set by a delay circuit 112. An oscillator 114 having the oscillation period of a scanning time T0 of the capsule is controlled by the output of this FF 113, and the output of the oscillator 114 is inputted to a gate 104A through monostable multivibrators 101 and 102 and an inverter 103 together with the output of a delay circuit 115 and a mask signal MASK, and the defect signal is detected. When the time for scanning of a printed band is denoted as T2, a set time T1 of the monostable multivibrator satisfies the relation of T1=T0-T2.
