A stump grubber includes an essentially conical screw (14) designed for splitting tree stumps, which rotates around its long axis, and a device (9,13) for turning the screw (14) and screwing it into a stump (18). In order to provide fast and efficient splitting of stumps and the subsequent withdrawal of these stumps, the conical screw (14) is combined with a pair of gripping teeth (10) in the shape of a fork. These teeth together with the screw are arranged on a common frame (6) and, like the screw (14), can be rotated around a shaft, which is essentially at a right angle to the screw's axis of rotation.<IMAGE> |
