PURPOSE:To enable superior diagonosis by providing diagnosis means for diagnosing process means for copying and operating the diagnosis means according to the signal from detecting means showing inadequate states. CONSTITUTION:In a maintenance mode, the presence or absence of paper is detected with a paper detection switch 10 through a mu computer, and if the computer judges that the paper exists, the switch 10 is on and is possibly out of order; therefore, the microcomputer starts trouble processing and stops the entire load to light 1 with 7-segments for displaying the number of copying sheets. The state of a home position switch 22 is next judged with an original plate 2 held reset in the home position and if the switch remains off, the switch 22 is considered out of order in the state of off, then a fault display 2 is lighted. A timing switch 21 is then judged and if the switch remains on, a fault display 3 is lighted. The copying operation is started only after all of the above-mentioned contents are judged to be normal. Thereafter, the copying process is diagnosed in the similar way. |
