PURPOSE:To facilitate the maintenance of a tool magazine and increase the number of stored tools, by placing the tool magazine on a floor and using a vertically-moved conveying arm to carry a tool to an upper exchange position. CONSTITUTION:A tool Ta supported by the holder 18 of a tool magazine 17 placed on a floor is held by a pot 23, which is moved along a guide rail 24, so that the tool is delivered to a conveying arm 19 in a lower position. The arm 19 is moved up along a guide rail 21 provided on a column 11, so that the tool Tc is carried to a position beside a magazine 16 provided under a cross rail 12. The tool Tc is then moved from the conveying arm 19 into the holding hole 15 of the magazine 16 by a rotary pot 22. A tool head 14 is moved to a position over the magazine 16 so that the tool Tb is held in a tool holding part 13. |
