The reversible disc plough is equipped to adjust the position of the discs relative to the ground and has a half turn facility. The turning movement causes diametrically opposite faces to switch positions, the discs being arranged with their principle axes of transverse symmetry in a common plane. The relevant axis are further defined as the longitudinal axes of the axles (3,4) about which the discs (1,2) rotate. There may be two sizes of discs and those of each size may be mounted on a different parallel axle, the drive (8) for effecting the turning movement being sited at the point (6) where the plough and its tractor are coupled. The coupling, thus, remains in the same approximate position after reversal, the discs being arranged so that the smaller group (1) contact the ground first.
|
