<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion due to SO3, by adjusting dust collecting capacity based on detected values of soot and SO3 in an exhaust gas so as to bring said values into ranges of preliminarily set predetermined values. CONSTITUTION:By a soot and SO3 densitometer 10 arranged to the outlet side of an electric dust collecting apparatus 4, soot concn. and SO3 concn. in an exhaust gas in the outlet side thereof are detected. Both detected values are transmitted to the minicomputer 13 of an efficiently controlling apparatus of the electric dust collecting apparatus as feedback signals and the minicomputer 13 receives the signals to convert the same into a soot/SO3 amount and compares the same to set predetermined values to emit a control signal to control the charging currents of each power source apparatus 15 provided to every each sections of electric dust collecting apparatus 4 through each microcomputer 14. By this method, all of SO3 is adhered to soot and corrosion due to SO3 is not generated.</p> |
