PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a scanning stylus, by forming the lower part of an electrode supporting part in a nearly conic shape, and providing a bottom surface which has a ridge line extending along a signal groove and a keel- shaped projection part for specifying its lateral width under said lower part. CONSTITUTION:The lower part of the electrode supporting part 32 is formed in a nearly conic shape and the bottom surface 36 having the ridge line extending along the signal groove and the keel-shaped projection part 34 for specifying its lateral width are provided further under the lower conic part 33. Consequently, even when the scanning stylus wears as a conventional scanning stylus wears, output characteristics close to starting characteristics are maintained and the number of stages of work necessary for the formation is decreased greatly, so the yield of the manufacture is improved greatly to reduce the cost of the scanning stylus. |
