PURPOSE:To allow the driver to view a display without causing the necessity for largely changing his visual point, by securing a permeable display device to a transparent member of window glass or the like and changing permeability of light in a prescribed part of the display device to perform the display. CONSTITUTION:A time display unit 2a, direction indicating display units 2b, 2b and car speed display unit 2c are formed to a front glass 1, and the driver can easily view a display driven by a driving signal of microcomputers or the like through the respective driver circuit without causing the necessity for largely changing his visual point. Then a liquid crystal display device 4 used as these displaying means is a permeable display device used with a twisted nematic liquid crystal provided between glasses 1a, 1b, and constituted by laminating orientation films 12, 13, transparent conductive films 10, 11, glasses 8, 9 and polarization plates 6, 7 with permeable axes at a right angle with each other, successively in both sides of a liquid crystal 14 having positive dielectric anisotropy. |
