PURPOSE:To prevent the colibacillosis of chicken, by inoculating an anticolibacillosis agent containing living or killed cells of colibacillus as an active component to the cloaca of the chicken. CONSTITUTION:An anticolibacillosis agent containing the cells of colibacillus[e.g. Excherichia coli O1, O2, NS-244 (FERM-P No.5757), etc.]as active component, is suspended in water, physiological saline water, PBS, tissue culture liquid, etc. The suspension is inoculated to the cloaca of a chicken to prevent the colibacillosis (e.g. colibacillar sepsis, arthritis, hemorrhagic enteritis, etc.). The administration is carried out by dripping, infusing, coating or spraying the suspension to the anus of the poultry or immersing the anus in the suspension. The amount of the suspension applied to a chicken is 0.002-0.2ml, or >=1.0X10<5> cells. EFFECT:The colibacillosis can be perfectrly prevented without causing side effects nor producing resistant Escherichia coli. |
