PURPOSE:To improve the washing effect of belt by the water ejected from nozzle for washing water in the stage of washing the belt stuck with sludge cake in a belt press type dehydrator by disposing the nozzle under specified condition. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of dehydrating hydrous sludge by pressure with upper and lower belts made of filter cloth, the sludge cake stuck on the surface of upper and lower belts, more particularly, a lower belt 7 after removal of the dehydrated cake is rinsed away thoroughly. For this purpose, a downward facing nozzle group for surface washing is mounted to a header pipe 32 above the belt 7, and the plural long pipe nozzles 34 and short pipe nozzles 35 among the nozzle group are disposed alternately and zigzag. The nozzles 34, 35 are so disposed that the downward washing water ejecting from the nozzles 34, 35 collides perpendicularly to the belt 7, and that the colliding ranges A2, A1 thereof overlap slightly in the transverse direction without interfering with each other. The sludge cake is washed away effectively without decrease in the washing effect by the interference of the spouting water. |
